Puppies can start coming to Puptown Lounge once they are at least 4 months old and have received the following vaccinations:

• Rabies

• Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)

• Bordetella

• Canine Influenza
(Recommended but not required)

Pups over 6 months of age must also be spayed or neutered to participate in group play for daycare or boarding.

Be sure to consult your veterinarian to obtain proof to confirm your puppy is fully vaccinated and ready for a fun, safe experience at Puptown Lounge!

If you’re new to the area or a first-time dog parent and looking for a veterinarian, we’re happy to point you toward a few local resources!

Suburban Animal Clinic — Located at the corner of Fisher and Wilson Road, this clinic is conveniently located near our Upper Arlington and Hilliard locations. Puptown Lounge clients can receive a discount on their first visit when they mention that they are a Puptown Lounge client.

North Kenny Veterinary Hospital — Located right on Kenny Road near our North Columbus location, they also offer a discount on your first visit when you mention that you are a Puptown Lounge client.

Columbus Humane Essential Care Center — If you’re looking for more affordable veterinary care, the Columbus Humane Essential Care Center offers reduced-cost wellness exams and vaccinations. Their dog wellness exam is currently $75 and includes an exam, consultation, core vaccinations, and heartworm testing. They also host free drive-through community vaccine clinics at various locations around Columbus throughout the year. These clinics are first-come, first-served and vaccines are available while supplies last. (Columbus Humane)

Your dog's health and safety are our top priorities. In the event of illness or injury, our experienced staff will promptly contact you and, if necessary, seek veterinary care. We have protocols in place to ensure swift and appropriate responses to any medical emergencies.​

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your dog's regular food to maintain their usual diet and avoid any digestive issues. Please label all items clearly. If needed, we also offer high-quality house food for a nominal fee.

Yes, socialization is a key part of our daycare and boarding services. Dogs are grouped based on size, temperament, and play style to ensure safe and enjoyable interactions.

If your dog prefers solitude, we can accommodate that as well. Our overnight stays include 4 potty/play breaks a day. You can also add on a one on one enrichment walk to their day!

We offer discounted rates for additional dogs from the same household sharing accommodations. If you are staying more than ten (10) days, every additional day after is 10% off. For extended stays, please contact us to discuss potential discounts and availability.​

We understand how important peace of mind is. Our staff provides regular updates and photos upon request via report cards, calls or text.

For luxury suite guests, daily report cards and photos are included.​

For all other boarding stays you get a free report card with photos, videos, and updates every other day of their stay. If you would like a report card everyday, you can add on a Top Shelf Daycare Experience report card that comes with a deluxe report card and a PupCup for your pup to enjoy!

We totally understand—leaving your pup can be tough, and staying connected matters. While we don’t offer live camera feeds, our team is focused on providing hands-on care and real-time supervision to ensure every dog is safe, happy, and well-loved.

For peace of mind, we’re happy to send you photo updates during your dog’s stay—just ask! Plus, if your pup is staying in one of our luxury suites, they’ll receive daily photo report cards and a keepsake postcard at checkout.
